Since the early 1980s, UK born, Oakland, CA-based maverick multi-instrumentalist Coulter has directed, recorded, produced, and played with numerous artists such as Tom Waits, The Pogues, Kronos Quartet, Laurie Anderson, Yoko Ono, Wes Anderson, Marianne Faithfull, Damon Albarn, and Gorillaz. In 2020 Coulter collaborated with Julia Kent (and Seb Rochford) as a trio in the making of an EP through file sharing via the internet for trestlerec.com and their From Isolation series. This led to an ongoing virtual sonic collaboration between Kent and Coulter. This is this first time they have performed together in real time and space.
