Medieval Recorder Lessons

Students learn to play recorder in school as an introduction to reading music. They are not really excited about playing Hot Cross Buns, but when you are turned on to the actual medieval music written for the recorder, students are really excited to learn this instrument. The recorder is an inexpensive introduction to music, sight reading, and theory. It is a great way to participate in Renaissance Faires and even to play along at fiddle jams.
